From ICPJ email invitation 8/11/26
Hello Friends,
For nearly 60 years, the Interfaith Council for Peace & Justice has worked alongside our communities to advance peace, justice, and collective action. Today, we find ourselves in another important season of growth.
As our communities change, so must the ways we organize, collaborate, and build power together. ICPJ is evolving toward a more networked model, one that invites broader participation, shared leadership, and deeper collaboration across movements for racial, economic, and climate justice.
We invite you to join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and imagination as we share ICPJ's emerging mission, vision, values, theory of change, and ask for your perspective before we move forward.
This is an opportunity to think together about the future of justice work in Washtenaw County, explore what is changing, what should remain, and how each of us might contribute to a stronger, more connected movement.
Whether you've been part of ICPJ for decades or are just beginning to connect with this work, your voice matters.
Together, we'll:
Learn about ICPJ's evolving direction and why we're embracing a network model.
Reflect on what our communities need most in this moment.
Explore opportunities to shape and steward work in racial, economic, and climate justice.
Connect with organizers, partners, and neighbors committed to building a more just future.
Who should attend?
ICPJ members, community organizers, advocates, nonprofit leaders, faith leaders, residents, and anyone passionate about racial justice, climate justice, economic justice, democracy, immigrant justice, or building stronger communities across Washtenaw County.
We hope you'll join us as we begin building ICPJ's next chapter—together.
