Understanding How a Bill Becomes a Law & Other Important Civics In Complicated Times (Virtual)

Virtual - zoom

Register here

This webinar will explain the Legislative Process. Participants will be able to describe the key steps in how a bill becomes a law, including introduction, committee review, floor debate, voting, and executive approval. Participants will understand how advocacy groups, public opinion, and political dynamics influence legislation, especially during times of economic or social complexity.

Participants will be able to identify ways citizens can engage effectively in the legislative process and evaluate how recent trends (e.g., polarization, emergency measures) impact lawmaking today.

Hosted by Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness (MCAH)
