In-person - Lansing
Hosted by Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness
MCAH’s 10th Annual Homelessness Advocacy Day is where we come together to:
Share information on the state of Homelessness and Affordable Housing in Michigan and your local community
Hear from state leaders on legislative priorities and the importance of advocacy
Learn about MCAH 2025 policy priorities
Advocate in teams, providing information and meeting with MI legislators
Network with Colleagues
Homelessness Advocacy Day is an opportunity to meet face-to-face with legislators or legislative staff, to educate them on homelessness issues and the housing market at the state and local levels. Homelessness Advocacy Day is your time to highlight policy priorities such as the need for more affordable housing and tenant protections, and advocate for specific legislation that would be beneficial for the populations we serve.
Homelessness Advocacy Day and MCAH’s partnership with other advocacy groups paid big dividends in 2024, with the passage of Source of Income legislation and other tenant protections. It is crucial that we all continue to push the new legislature to adopt common-sense solutions to decrease homelessness in Michigan. We want to add your voice to this important chorus.
Please join us for this important forum for collective action! We would like to specifically invite those with lived experience to attend, along with people who work in direct homelessness response and housing/services. Make sure you share this invitation with others in your CoC and local community partners.
Why should you Advocate with us?
Advocacy helps underscore the issues that need attention and bring a collective voice for change.
