The Fair Housing Center of Southeast & Mid Michigan is hosting an optional two-day litigation training for current and prospective cooperating and pro bono attorneys, led by national expert Steve Tomkowiak.

Steve served as Executive Director of the Fair Housing Center of Metropolitan Detroit from 2018 to 2026, and has been an instructor and course developer for HUD’s National Fair Housing Training Academy since 2004. He’s litigated fair housing and fair lending cases at every level, from trial courts to appeals.

Day 1: Fair Housing Case Analysis, Monday, Nov 9, 9 AM to 4 PM
Day 2: Cooperative Attorney Training, Monday, Nov 16, 9 AM to 4 PM

Sessions cover the full arc of fair housing litigation: case analysis, forum selection, discovery, testing evidence, damages, motion practice, trial, and settlement negotiation.

Open to current and prospective cooperating or pro bono attorneys, MDCR staff attorneys, and other interested attorneys.
