Uncovering Hidden Histories: Community Shareback Event #3 (In-person)

More than 9,000 property deeds in Washtenaw County once included racially restrictive covenants – legal clauses that barred Black families and others from certain neighborhoods. This hidden history shaped the communities we live in today.

Now, Fair Housing Center of Southeast & Mid Michigan together with partners at FutureRoot and Justice InDeed are helping to bring these stories to light.

Come take part in Uncovering Hidden Histories: Community Shareback Events, where we will explore the map, hear from local voices, and reflect on what repair and justice require from us now.

FHC staff will be at the Ypsilanti District Library event on October 28th, but we encourage you to join any event you can. Evens are free and open to all.
