CEU’s (Trafficking):  HUMAN TRAFFICKING: How Healthcare Professionals Can Impact Change

1.5 Continuing Education Units (SW, RN, OT, PT, GEN) will be provided at completion of this activity.

Human trafficking survivors require healthcare that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive to their particular needs. Coordination is needed between health providers and statutory and voluntary organizations. Attendees will be educated on Legal definition and examples of sex trafficking, Top 3 ways victims are recruited into sex trafficking, discuss impact sex trafficking has in Michigan, Behavioral characteristics of victims both before and after, Methods of grooming victims: psychological, how traffickers keep control of victims: physical & psychological.
